The Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board (SPTRB) is monitoring developments related to COVID-19.
The change in procedures noted below will remain in effect until restrictions and precautions are lifted by government and health officials.
Please check back regularly for additional updates and/or changes.
Services and Office Hours
The SPTRB office is closed to the public and staff are working remotely from home.
Please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications for certification, certification renewal, Annual Registration, Additional Qualification Certificates, Statements of Professional Standing, and replacement certificates are still being accepted and processed.
Current Criminal Record Checks (CRC) and Vulnerable Sector Searches (VSS)
Many, if not all, law enforcement agencies are temporarily closed to the public to comply with social/physical distancing precautions. This means that individuals may not be able to obtain a current Criminal Record Check (CRC) and/or Vulnerable Sector Search (VSS) required for certification.
In recognition of these exceptional circumstances, the SPTRB will accept a CRC and VSS conducted on or after August 1, 2019.
If your CRC/VSS are dated prior to August 1, 2019, please contact our office by email and explain your circumstance and we will work with you to determine a course of action.
