The Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board (SPTRB) is monitoring developments related to COVID-19.
The change in procedures noted below will remain in effect until restrictions and precautions are lifted by government and health officials.
Please check back regularly for additional updates and/or changes.
Services and Office Hours
SPTRB staff are working from home and therefore, the office is closed to the public.
You may contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 306-352-2230. Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding statutory holidays).
Applications for certification, certification renewal, Annual Registration, Additional Qualification Certificates, Statements of Professional Standing, and replacement certificates are still being accepted and processed.
Temporary Teaching Permits
Saskatchewan school divisions have indicated a scarcity of available substitute teachers during the pandemic. In response to this increased need for additional substitute teachers the SPTRB will consider TTP applications from 4th B.Ed. students who have completed their internship and may not have yet finished their B.Ed. program.
Applications will be considered only if the individual has employment with a division and have successfully completed their internship. If issued, these TTPs will expire August 31, 2021.
